This is a screenshot showing an interesting trail bug with a new feature that I'm working on for the next release.
That's Earth in the center, the Moon in the top center, and the bright green and blue bodies are objects at the Earth-Moon L4 & L5.
Can anyone guess what the new feature is?

Perhaps a feature where the center of the system spirals or moves in a strange way? That causes the other bodies to respond to the strange movement by... Moving strange aswell?

The spirals and non-conected trail segments are a result of the bug. The Earth is set as the center, but it's motion isn't yet being subtracted from all the other trails (and when it's motion is subtracted from itself the trail will disappear). NeutronStar is right... This is an early screen shot of rotating frames. The rotating frame feature lets you select an orbiting body to 'lock' into position and then the camera and trails are rotated to keep it from appearing to move on screen. The actual gravitational simulation is unchanged, the only difference is how the motion of the bodies and trails are displayed. In the example above, the moon is the 'locked' body (although not very locked as it turns out). This feature is in progress and I expect that it will be part of Universe Sandbox 2 (which I expect to release in December). Here's some more examples of rotating frames from a program made by Tony Dunn called Gravity Simulator: http://universesandbox.com/forum/index.php/topic,654.0.html

You can identify resonances (Neptune:Pluto/2:3), or trojans, whatch the orbit's change and other stuff. See my topic in Off - Topic that used another program to show rotating frame.

Dan I actually like the trails like that, they are sort of less flashy and draws more attention to the objects than the trails(witch usually holds most attention). Do you think you could make this an option in the next update along with rainbow trails(trails that segments remain the same color according to velocity acceleration color options). It looks really nice
