Dan could you add like a Diameter 2 function, which you click yes or no, or check a box, to enable it. Along with that it enables another box for period. You could then have presets (Lyrae, Cepheid I, Cephied II, T Tauri...). Eventually, you could add a fuction for what star it is OBAFGKM, 0-9, I-VII. This would have a script to take Diameter 1 and [a box named] Spectral Type (which you input spectral type), that makes it pulsate and change color! Awesome. Right?

Can you link me to an article that talks about what you're wanting to simulate?

Ummm... I don't know. But I want to simulate like, a solar system around a Cepheid Variable and be able to change what diameters it goes from and to, and back, and the time it takes to do so (wavelength).

So...you want a star to get bigger and smaller as if it wants to explode?

Or as if it is young (T Tauri)

Actually, natural variables

It means:
"I'm thinking making pulsating stars would be so crazy awesome. I can't wait to have it implemented. Dan, when do you think it will be implemented?"

However, I didn't find it so funny... It just make the forum far less readable in my opinion.

I'm trying to understand how this reflects what stars actually do.

Can you find an link or article that talks about stars pulsating like this?

Do you know of variable stars?

Dan, varibles (an example from a book) grow compact and orange (not sure of color), expand and turn pale yellow, continue expanding and fade to red, contact to pale yellow, continue on to become compact again, repeating the cycle.
