On behalf of the SouthWest, I say welcome to the boat, we've had to deal with water supply problems for decades, even all the way back to the settlement by the Spanish. Or at least when cities and towns started to grow in the early-mid 19th century.
Although, the SouthWest is also heading towards drier conditions, so.... yeah, not to gloat or anything....

Another weak media report based on weak science. By the way, the "Yay!" / "Fundies" comment reflects on your morality.

Even if there isn't an incoming drought for the south, they still have to deal with dwindling aquifers.

Even if there isn't an incoming drought for the south, they still have to deal with dwindling aquifers. I still don't see why that is something to "Yay!" about....but obviously there is a difference in morals. The big story of course is that the "CONSENSUS" is crumbling under the weight of facts. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204301404577171531838421366.htmlSpecific to the op article... "The lack of warming for more than a decade—indeed, the smaller-than-predicted warming over the 22 years since the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) began issuing projections—suggests that computer models have greatly exaggerated how much warming additional CO2 can cause. Faced with this embarrassment, those promoting alarm have shifted their drumbeat from warming to weather extremes, to enable anything unusual that happens in our chaotic climate to be ascribed to CO2."

Nice try but pointing out "Fundies" was the give away that you were not simply being sarcastic of the predicted circumstance.

I always dream of living in the South West, then I remember the water issues. But NOTHING can be worse than living in an North East city, right?

dhm794,
By most indicators, cities directly reflect all the dysfunctional attributes of a society and the main positive attribute anyone can point to is in relation to the arts. The demographics of any area pretty much tell the story as to it's quality of life....generally speaking.

Uh, why would I be saying yay if I were to die of drought? Wtf? Your contrived question aside, the valid question is why you think editing the thread topic helps your case.

I already understood that you were not being sarcastic but simply showing your negative feelings about a group of people. Nothing else to see unless you want to add more groups of people, say blacks or jews to your list.

The only people I know of that use the epithet of Fundies are a subset of atheists..so if you are an atheist then it's highly unlikely that you were being merely sarcastic. If you are not, then I am wrong and only you could give an explanation of why you posted a word not normally used outside of certain circles. [Edit] That's what I thought. Case closed.

BTW, I could have said Rednecks, Cotton, NASA, or whatever the hell is in the south. Fundies was the first thing that popped into thought.

Yeah I didn't. But why does it matter that I chose "Fundies" over NASA, Rednecks, the south, cowboys, or anything else?

I'm sure if you wrote a post about Katrina hitting a city of fags, others would chime in quicker than lightning as to why it's not acceptable on "this" forum. If you also use other epithets, such as Fundies or Rednecks, on a forum that I read, I'll call you on it...others won't but I will.
