Code:
/Una-rail-City/  Untariael City

Untariael  City, New Hampshire, Aeridani Space State Union. 12:29 PM, 2021, Earth.

Fiah Storm, President of the ASSU, led 4th grade children out to the Charlie-Richard Memorial Park in central Untariael City, a city of 12 million people.

Today they were learning about plate tectonics, because who wouldn't want to know about earthquakes.

"Harold, can you tell me what a fault line is?" Said Fiah in an intriguing, almost inquisitive voice.
"It's when a Bacon Cheese Burger and the Earth bang." Said Harold.
"Right, correct." Said Fiah.
"Has Anyone ever felt an earthquake?" Said Fiah.

Just then, the strongest earthquake to ever hit humankind let loose.

"****, I think we all have!" Said Fiah in a panicked voice.
"GET INTO THE OPEN NOW!" Said Fiah, screaming for life.

CNC did a great job... Getting it 30 years off.. Stupid typos. Also, the reporter received lots of bad publicity for saying that it is great news.
--
"AAAAAH! MOMMY!" said a boy, immidietly regretting it the next instant.
<moar dialog later>

Fiah turns on his laptop and goes to CNN.

"As we can see, the earthquake wi-" said the news reporter, as the sirens went of in Untariael City.
"20 goddamn minutes late." cursed Fiah.
"-ll send tsunami waves up the eastern seaboard of the Americas, and the western coast of Europe and Africa. Please evacuate to higher ground. President Fiah Storm is currently being searched for, as he was teaching some students about plate tectonics, as this ironically happened. Stay calm, stay focused. Move to higher ground immediately, the tsunamis are projected to reach up to 69 feet high, it will reach boston by 1:30 pm, and Manhattan by 3. Get to higher ground for those of you around coastal cities." said the reporter.

Funny because the earthquake would've destroyed all those buildings by now.

you do know that would be the equivalent of the moon slamming into the earth and killing all life in a matter on minutes and turning the planet into a molten ball of lava?

Actually an earthquake of that magnitude would've destroyed everywhere from Newfoundland to Georgia.

The Richter scale is logarthmic, so that is 1,100,000 times more powerful than the strongest earthquake ever recorded.

Funny because New York City is far away from New Hampshire.

more like the whole world. A 12.6 was the yucatan peninsula thingy which was supposedly..6 miles in diameter? 15.6 is 1000 times more poweful, so an object 100 kilometers in diameter colliding with the earth. hory sheets, humans and life would be pretty much wiped out.

another comparison, 15.6 would be a nuclear bomb the size of new york city and 10 meters thick.
