Here are two pictures of different kind of galaxies.

If 2 or more spiral galaxies collide and merge. then it would be an elliptical galaxy.

Yes, elliptical galaxies often turn into spiral galaxies over time, and then when galaxies collide they become irregular or elliptical again. Galaxies are cool.

If the galaxies have same mass and same size, and it collides to be making a fashion large spiral galaxy. See the video of John Dubinski's Klemperer's Dream at:

Nice link monmafori!
However, during a galaxy collision, a lot of stars are shooted out into the space. It isn't a very good news as the Sun should be still "alive" when (and if) Milky Way and Andromeda will collide...

Well its weird how four galaxies are completely unstable but everything else follows a pattern.

Well, you know it's not just a big blob, it has shapes.

If 2 or more elliptical galaxies colliding it will make an elliptical galaxy again. and possibly an irregular galaxy.

We know that... You post too many uncommments...
Though, I never thought that their can be an irregular galaxy that's more than 100,000 light years.
