Fraps is better than CamStudio imo, not because it lags my com less,  but because it can make video which doesn't lag or is horrible quality, and because it can actually record SAUND on my computah. Tongue
I found an alternative way to record sound, though, without using my microphone, finally... Before my com b0rk'd.

But Fraps costing money and CamStudio being free makes it hard to compare, and simply saying "use Fraps, ditch CamStudio" rests on the assumption that everyone can easily pay for Fraps, which costs 37$.

both lag for me Tongue
but its not to inconvenient to string 30 sec clips together while using freefraps

also i <3 winff for the video compression help.

I was considering that... At first I tried it at the rollercoaster in Awesomeland, which I was thinking of making a video about. But it seems to make an annoying delay, so it was impossible.

i used the ubox recording thingy to take my video of 20x dust multiplier andromeda/milky way collision....it gave me 96000 pictures for me to string together Smiley how dere dere
