I have never tested the 3D with the nvidia 3d and glasses hardware.

The 3D is designed for the red-cyan glasses or some DLP televisions.

Can you point me to a link of the hardware you're trying to use?

And have you seen the 3D checkbox and options in the options panel on the left side of the window?

It needs to activate the 3d vision glasses to be able to work (http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-vision-main.html).  They are similar to the TV ones.

I'm working on making Universe Sandbox compatible with the nVidia 3D vision tech. It will likely be in the next update.

You said red-cyan glasses, but would those Real D 3D things you get at the movies work? I have the polarized or whatever clear-dark ones.

Polarized glasses, like used at movie theaters, will only work with a special projector and screen.

The NVIDIA system requires special glasses and a 120Hz display:

(although you can set the NVIDIA driver to use the red-cyan glasses too)
