Here's an early, unpolished, unfinished look at the work done on making the program easier to use (and three colliding galaxies).

This shows both the old interface in the upper left (which will be removed) and some of the new elements below it.

Among the planned improvements: it will soon be easier to change the intensity of gravity and use chart mode.

Details
Most displayed values will become text boxes so you won't have to enter another mode (like the control panel) to change the value. You will also be able to change any numerical text box value with a single click and drag.

Actually those buttons are just zoom and rotate the camera (which you can already do by dragging and with the mouse wheel).

You can currently use the arrow keys to move the focus. (although this doesn't always work correctly depending on your zoom level)

How would you like to be able move the focus?

The 3 galaxies colliding isn't new. It's something that you can do right now with the current release.

- Load "Galaxy Collision - Milky Way & Andromeda"
- Add the Triangulum galaxy (from the presets list of the New Bodies panel).
- Move & Rotate the new galaxy into position using the N (rotate) & M (move) keys. These tools will be more apparent with the new UI improvements (although not pictured in the above example)

I want to rotate it to an angle. You can only around Y axis, I want to do Z axis too!

Just use ctrl, or shift while rotating.

Like FGFG just said...
As you hold down the N key to rotate, also press and hold the Ctrl key or the Shift key.

(I realize this is a very unintuitive way to do this. I'm working on a better solution, but feel free to share your ideas in the mean time.)

I had already typed the reply, but when I hit 'Post' it said that you had just posted, so I modified the message slightly and hit 'Post' again.
