Yus, dey won't strike. I would make them nations like the others, bawt it wasn't colored in the default and they aren't that powerful.

I think the game is unbalanced, and I think some of the regions are hard to fill, because they're part of some island-thing where you have to fill lots of independent parts, sometimes single pixels.
I suggest making the game start on a blank map with mostly equally sized zones which can be filled in one fill.

I think the zones should maybe be based on population per area? The lower the population in that area the bigger the zone is (to basically make it equal)

Btw, if you want to start on a different year, just tell me. I can already see World War I and II boundaries, though there are pre-German unification borders too (might take days...). (for the new map, ofc)

You can change colors; I just based them off of my color scheme.

Naru's borders east of the Caspian Sea are correct, I think mine west of it are correct, though.
Except two zones near Ukraine.
