This will hopefully boost US's public awareness. And possibly donations for Dan, which in turn means more updates!

It would mean more incentive I guess, wouldn't you be more inclined to work with donations coming your way?

well, maybe Grin

However the documentary must say what programme those animations are made with, and where you can find them. If the programme show just the galaxy collision simulation for a few seconds, i don't think they would tell you all the infos during the programme, but just at the end (where nobody read nothing). If Universe Sandbox is more used they could tell the infos instead.

(P.s. I will not see the show because there isn't the italian version yet)

[edit: only grammatical correction]

They better give credit where credit is do (I can't think of the right 'do') and they'll hopefully say a little tidbit about the animation before they show it. But you never know. Anyways I can't wait until it comes out!

Just now remembered, Congrats to Dan for his program making it this far!

FGFG is right.

The television program "Cosmic Collisions" will include around 6-8 shots created with Universe Sandbox. While Universe Sandbox is listed in the end credits, there won't be any on screen captions to specifically indicate my contribution.

So I highly doubt that the television program will have any notable effect on website traffic or sales.

HallowedError is also right in that more money would increase the frequency of updates.

I have not idea what their plans are regarding international distribution of the documentary. Either way I'll have to see if I can post or share clips from the television program that use Universe Sandbox.

It would be fun, but it isn't foundamental in my opinion. In fact we have already the whole programme that Discovery Channel shows on his documentaries! Cool However nobody is stopping you Dan Wink

On the upside, though, you may get (or ask for) something from Discovery Channel.

It seems that watching the video is safe (although the first time you visit the site a full page add will come up that you'll have to bypass).

You can watch the video without giving the ninjavideo.net site any money or downloading any software from it.

The Discovery Channel should post their videos on their own site or a site like hulu.com.

The clips that were created with Universe Sandbox are all galaxy collision animations that have been post-processed to add glow effects. There are a few clips in the first few minutes and a few longer clips toward the end of the video.
