I've been having a problem with spam-bots posting pornographic & drug messages on this board over the last few weeks. Almost every time I log in there are messages for me to delete.

I've just installed this forum mod that will hopefully help to reduce this problem:

A forum 'spam bot' is a computer program that automatically creates a user account and posts spam messages on a forum like this one. It's is totally automatic. I suspect that it is using some simple form of character recognition to get past that verification.

The new mod that I added requires that the user answer 3 simple questions in order to sign up. This should be enough to stop (or at least greatly reduce) the automated spam bots.
