I'm not sure. But AFAIK, every other map game on the forums came from Naru's World Map Game.
The games that aren't maps:
2 are from another forum (The Person Below Me, The Poem)
~3 were randomly made by deoxy (Numbers)
1 was a game in real life (Word Game)
1 was a game I came up with (Fridge)

I made Map War 1 myself, and based Map War 2 on it (and decided to make zones like in other map games, like Naru523's world map game). Don't really think I got especially inspired by other map games, just wanted one with strict rules and fair systems so how much land you claim doesn't become subjective. And in 2.1 I also invented some strategy into the game.  |

I probably got my idea from my original map simulation of a planet I called "Zargonoxia". It was on YouTube for a moment, but I removed it later, when I simulated maps on Laktra (on NeutronStar's Solar System Creator Wiki). Generally I think the idea of making a map war is simple and doesn't require so much inspiration from outside places, so I don't think we need that place to explain our map war memes on this forum.  |

Capitalia needs to have a strong army if they're capitalist. Indeed, when The Earth Socialist State is heading directly towards it. Even though I don't think it's a militaristic socialist state (most examples of militaristic socialist states we've seen contradict the points of socialism itself, but that can't stop countries from claiming to be socialist of course). ESS is very scarsely populated, however. I'll find out how militaristic it is if war breaks out. Well, the world would probably have very few people at this stage. True, in that case even fewer in some huge permafrost forest. |
