An undesignated galaxy in the galaxy cluster Abell 8327, could be the largest galaxy ever.

Neutron,

You're right about the number of the cluster (Abell 8327)? Cause in the catalog that describes and lists the Abell clusters ("Catalog of Rich Clusters of Galaxies") the cluster with larger numeration is Abell 4075.

I know the largest known galaxy in the universe is IC 1101 in Abell 2029. This monstrous galaxy have the diameter of 5 million light years and 100 trillion stars ( Our galaxy would have "only" 0.25 trillions  ):

More about IC 1101 here: http://iopscience.iop.org/0004-637X/616/1/178/fulltext

You can compare the IC 1101 and Milky Way galaxy in Universe Sandbox:

1 - From the main menu, Click on New > Create Empty System
2 - Click on the New Body tool (the Saturn with the +)
3 - Switch to the galaxy tab
4 - Click on the last galaxy (IC1101) and add it to the scene.
5 - Now click on the first galaxy (Milky Way) and add it to the scene.
6 - Now switch to Chart Mode if you like.

(This is a very rough approximation of IC 1101, thoughts on how to make it better ?)
